PORTFOLIO

As an avid reader of both nonfiction and fiction, I am content to edit in either domain and I currently do exactly that as a freelance editor for FriesenPress. I have edited for businesses, graduate students, clients with English as a foreign language, as well as novels in various genres—science fiction, romance, paranormal, children’s fiction, and young adult fiction. Below are a few recent examples.

Here’s a story of the Canadian experience in the anxious years at the beginning of World War Two, both at home and overseas.

Any work of historical fiction is an exploration of what was and what might have been. For a writer, a new book begins as perfect excuse to explore the past in detail, to imagine the events as the people of the day might have seen them and over a period of many months to add the fictional elements to bring an era to life.

Their stories must build on the historical record and add a vital human dimension. That put simply, is the premise behind An Angry Sky. I hope you enjoy it.
